CARE International is a leading humanitarian organization working to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. Stephanie worked on assignment for CARE International in Nepal documenting a focus on infant and maternal health.

CARE International > Day of the Girl, Republic of Georgia

Stephanie worked on assignment for CARE International in the Republic of Georgia documenting teen girls who've benefitted from CARE's support, and women change-makers from local NGOs they've helped to empower. Photographs and videos were shared at The Day of the Girl celebration and fundraising event in Atlanta.


"From the Front Porches of the Fifth District" Photo Essay, Atlanta, GA

Reading President-Elect Trump’s insensitive and offensive tweets directed toward Congressman Lewis and Atlanta's entire fifth congressional district, essentially the heart and soul of Atlanta, ignited a fire in Stephanie on January 14, 2017.  The following day, a Sunday, over the course of eight hours,  she drove streets throughout the district and sat down with eleven residents to engage in impromptu conversations on their front porches. Her photo essay was published and well received in "The Bitter Southerner" on January 24th.

Koseli School, Kathmandu, Nepal

Koseli School is a center for slum and street children living in Kathmandu, Nepal. These children live outside of the mainstream society. Thus, their biggest need is survival. Koseli means “a gift” and the center offers them a gift of happy childhood and education. The school was founded by Renu Shah. Stephanie created this video to support fundraising efforts for the school.
